Thanks very much!!
I was just looking howto mount a OSX install disk. The only thing i could mount was the ISO part of the OSX image.

Now i got both, the HFSPLUS and ISO9660.

I have absolutely no quarrel with MSI about the memory patch. I’m aware that my case is probably somewhat special (although MSI puts this board into the industrial computing category, which may imply that something besides Windows could be used on it). The special BIOS works and gives me 31MB more RAM, which I am happy about.

“The < 32 MB video memory option does not, however, appear to be present.”
Likely because those using text-mode only on the desktop are only a minority of users nowadays (it isn’t even possible on Windows).

“The easy way is to simply ignore the physical memory in the address ranges claimed by devices. The physical memory cell becomes inaccessible, and the storage it provides is lost. This is obviously not a popular solution.”
But it is of course the only option for older chipsets that have only 32 address lines, like the Intel 945 and older chipsets. In this case (or if memory remapping is otherwise disabled), you won’t see the last e820 line mapping memory at 0×100000000.
